As the name suggests, Navy: Academy takes players to the seas and oceans of the Second World War, where they can put their command skills to the test in fleet engagements. The game features a high level of abstraction while remaining highly accessible and easy to learn.<\/div>

We are proud to introduce Piotr Bambot and Konrad Idzik, who will be presenting their original project, Joint Commander Poland, at Wargameron 2026.<\/div>

Piotr is not a guest of Wargameron but one of its organizers, while Konrad has been a regular participant of the convention for many years. This year, as part of our Professional Wargaming section, they will showcase a project that should be of great interest to anyone fascinated by modern warfare and military simulations.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div><\/div>
Joint Commander Poland is a reimplementation of the Littoral Commander Baltic system, adapted to the Polish theater of operations and rescaled to the tactical-operational level.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div><\/div>
The game explores how the Littoral Commander system performs when simulating a potential scenario involving the defense of Poland against a full-scale Russian invasion. The project builds upon the concepts developed by Sebastian Bae while preserving the system’s multi-domain approach.<\/div>

–<\/span> During the game, players must take into account:<\/div>
–<\/span>\u00a0land, cyber, and space operations,<\/div>

We are proud to introduce our special guest \u2014 Robert \u017bak, who will be joining us with his latest game, Okuniew 1944!\u00a0<\/p>

Many of you know Robert as the designer of Strike of the Eagle, published by Academy Games. The game won the prestigious Origins Award for Best Historical Board Game in 2011 and remains one of the most innovative and engaging portrayals of the Polish-Soviet War.

Okuniew 1944 builds upon and further develops the hidden-order system introduced in Strike of the Eagle. However, the mechanics have been extensively adapted to better reflect the realities of World War II, capturing both the dynamics of operational warfare and the uncertainty of the battlefield.

The game focuses on the events of the summer of 1944, covering Marshal Rokossovsky\u2019s offensive toward Warsaw and the fierce fighting for the Vistula bridgeheads. In response to the Soviet advance, the Germans committed significant reinforcements, leading to what became the largest tank battle on the Eastern Front in 1944.

The game is designed for **2\u20134 players** and is planned to be published through a crowdfunding campaign.

Moreover, if the project is successfully funded, it will launch a new game series called Art of Command, built around Robert\u2019s evolving order-based mechanics. Several additional titles covering different historical periods are already in development and testing.

Krzysztof Dytczak, co-organizer of Wargameron, has also been actively designing wargames for many years. Many of you know him as the designer of *Race to Berlin*, published by Portal Games, and earlier *Berestechko 1651*, released by SNAFU as part of their *Pocket Battles* series.

At Wargameron 2026, Krzysztof will be presenting a prototype of his latest game:
**Korea 1950\u20131951**
This new project takes players to the battlefields of the Korean War and allows them to experience the dramatic opening years of the conflict. The game builds upon and expands the mechanics known from *Race to Berlin*, offering a dynamic operational-level experience set during one of the most important conflicts of the Cold War.

Wojciech Zalewski is the founder of Taktyka i Strategia and the designer of numerous historical and wargames, whose work dates back to the days of the legendary Polish publishers Dragon and Mirage Hobby.

Yves is best known for his opus magnum \u2014 *Red Strike*, a hypothetical NATO vs. Warsaw Pact conflict set in 1989. The system covers land, air, and naval operations across Central Europe and the North Atlantic and is widely regarded as one of the most interesting recent Cold War conflict simulations.<\/div><\/div>

*Northern Strike* takes players to Scandinavia and the Norwegian Sea, on a map stretching all the way into the Arctic.<\/div><\/div>

We are extremely proud to introduce our special guest \u2014 Stefan Ekstr\u00f6m, who will be joining us with his latest game *Colossus Stumbled*!\u00a0<\/p>

Regular Wargameron attendees already know Stefan very well, as he visits us almost every year with new and fascinating projects for testing and presentation. This year, besides other games and ideas you will be able to discuss with him, Stefan will present *Colossus Stumbled*.<\/p>

This time, the designer once again returns to the Eastern Front of World War II \u2014 focusing on the Second Battle of Kharkov in May 1942.<\/p>

The scenario covers the most intense 12 days of the campaign \u2014 from May 12th to May 23rd, 1942.<\/p>

Soviet forces launched an offensive against the German 6th Army from a salient established during the winter counteroffensive. After a promising start, the offensive was halted on May 15th by massive Luftwaffe airstrikes, after which the Axis forces launched their counteroffensive, codenamed *Operation Fredericus*, in the Kharkov region.<\/p>

The objective of the operation was to eliminate the Izium bridgehead over the Seversky Donets, also known as the \u201cBarvenkovo Bulge,\u201d which served as one of the main staging areas for the Soviet offensive.<\/p>
